Pure Water Membranes

The correct membrane design for your process is critical. Membranes may only come in 1 shape and just a few sizes but the engineering beneath the outer shell can vary widely. Understanding your make up water and knowing your permeate quality requirements are vital in choosing the correct membrane. Below are a few of the many membrane options that are available.

•      Low Fouling

•      Low energy

•      High rejection

•      Square footage

•      Mil spacer thickness

•      NSF Certified

•      High temperature

Gemflow, through its partnership with SUEZ Water Technologies and Solutions (formerly GE Water and Process Technologies), can help identify the best membrane for your application. Our service team is available for monitoring RO performance and to provide membrane reconditioning at our membrane cleaning facility.

Gemflow stocks filters in our warehouses in Twin Falls, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah.

NEW LARGE SCALE

Water Softening Project

A Utah food processing plant recently had the need to replace an aging all-plant water softening system. This system was used to prepare water for use in a reverse osmosis system that then provided boiler feed water for steam production as well as water to the processing plant. Our GEMFLOW division designed and delivered a large water softening system for this plant. This system is a twin alternating unit with a 1,950,000 grains exchange capacity. The system required carbon steel epoxy lined tanks with stainless steel face mounted piping and nest mounted valves. This system was also designed with an Allen-Bradley PLC system for control of the water softener flow.
